Our Story
Chinmay Barve started Big Sur Labs at the beginning of 2026. After seeing the step change in AI-powered software building capability, he became convinced that we need to rethink how software products are built — and how they work and interact with humans.
Prior to starting Big Sur Labs, Chinmay led the engineering team at Nooks.ai, led the engineering, support, product, and product marketing teams at Mixpanel, worked on Tweet and DM (Direct Messages) infrastructure at Twitter, web crawlers at Yahoo Search, and game servers at Electronic Arts.
He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, where he specialized in Systems Engineering and Intelligent Systems (Artificial Intelligence).
